Truth be told, I don't know how I feel about this but I want to get a general opinion on this and to know if I am guilty of wrongdoing as well.
Is there any thing like "First Fruit" in the real sense? Where did this cliche come from and does God actually need it as a reward for his "Efforts"
As a Reasonable person, I don't believe God does anything for us in expectation of a reward or fulfillment of a Contract agreement of some sort as frequently propagated in the church.
I believe in Covenant. If you have a covenant to him to show appreciation in your own capacity. Should it then become a rule that once you get a job, you must submit your first month Salary as a child of God?
What If my salary is not even enough to cover all the expenses made that month? Is this a way for church to cut into their own share of peoples livelihood?
Sometimes, When I talk against it in my house, my mum looks at me as one possessed of demonic spirits and will rebuke me as if I have done something terrible.
We should stop belittling our Creator with insignificant things such as valueless Naira. I believe that if God wants to help you, he looks beyond all you are and does it anyway whether you glorify him or not.
Please do you support this first fruit Idea or not and Why? Also, Is it a Sin if I don't oblige and will God stop helping me in the future?
